Green-tree topsoil debuts on ITV’s Love Your Garden

Green-tech’s brand leading topsoil Green-tree was a main feature on this week’s Love Your Garden, hosted by Alan Titchmarsh. In the final episode of the series Alan and the team arrive at the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice in South Yorkshire., where they set to work to create a garden of tranquillity in the grounds of the hospice.

A major element of the overall design included earth mounds and plant borders to compliment the gravel path and river bed.

Forty tonnes of Green-tree topsoil was specifically chosen for this project because it is an environmentally friendly quality product, certified to British Standard 3882:2007 and made by a British company from recycled green compost, organic matter and silica sand products which may otherwise end up in landfill sites.

Green-tree topsoil needs no additional fertiliser for the whole of the first growing season. It holds in water, a great help during periods of drought, and is available all year round. It is ideal for general flower borders, tree planting and even roof gardens. The Love Your Garden team were particularly impressed with the topsoil supplied as it maintained its structure even though the project was subject to some of the heaviest rainfall experienced in Sheffield this year. The project was delivered on time and staff, relatives and associates of the hospice were delighted with the overall result.
